  • Two cups of basmati rice
  • Two tablespoons of ghee
  • One large onion
  • ¼ to ½ cup mint
  • One green chilli
  • ¼ yogurt
  • ¼ to ½ red chilli powder
  • One teaspoon garam masala
  • Three cups of water or coconut milk
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • Two tablespoon fried onions

The steps to make biryani

  • In a bowl, add curd, ginger, and the garlic paste. Along with it also add masala powder, chili powder, and turmeric.
  • Now marinate the chicken and rinse the rice.
  • Now for biryani, add the oil or ghee in a pot.
  • Add the bay leaves, cloves, and other ingredients.
  • Fry onions and add the tomatoes also.
  • Add the chicken and the masalas required.
  • Layer the chicken at the bottom.
  • Add water and pour the rice slowly.
  • Set the flame to medium and cover the plate, and set the whistle in the cooker. After the turn of the whistle, remove the cover.
